Erika Muse is a partner in the New York office of London Fischer.  She has extensive experience litigating a broad variety of complex litigation disputes in a host of state and federal courts, including product liability, toxic tort, mass tort, and general commercial litigation.

Erika is well-versed in high stakes, sophisticated litigation.  She represents national and international corporations in a range of industries, including manufacturers, distributors, suppliers, and premises owners of consumer goods and equipment in the industrial, automotive and construction markets.  She is experienced in advising and implementing strategy to assist clients with managing their risks.  Directly participating in every phase of litigation, Erika’s experience includes extensive discovery and deposition practice, expert discovery, motion practice, trial work, as well as post-trial motions and briefing.  She has extensive day-to-day management responsibility for cases in New York and New Jersey and across the United States, overseeing litigation in California, Florida, Illinois, and Minnesota. Companies seek Erika’s counsel in devising innovative and creative defense tactics to meet their legal needs while advancing their long-term business goals.

Before joining London Fischer, Erika was a litigation partner at a national law firm where she served as Chair to one of the firm’s litigation practice groups.  She was also an integral member of the firm’s mentorship program working to support the career and professional development of attorneys in the early stages of their careers.  Erika also previously served as a Judicial Extern for the Massachusetts Land Court and completed an internship with the Brooklyn District Attorney’s Office.

Among her other accomplishments, Erika was a member of six trial teams in multiple jurisdictions across the country (NY, CA, IN, KY) from 2018 to 2022 that defended personal care product companies that manufactured cosmetic talcum products.  She also assisted with the development of a national strategy for a privately held company that has decreased their litigation across the country based on an analysis of the client’s various asset purchase agreements.

Erika is a member of the New York Women’s Bar Association and has been recognized as a New York Rising Star from 2019 to 2022.
