Erika Muse stands out as a Rising Star within the legal profession, achieving the prestigious position of Partner in London Fischer LLC's New York office. Her impressive career spans a wide array of state and federal courts, where she's honed her expertise in high-stakes, complex litigation, encompassing areas such as product liability, toxic torts, mass torts, and general commercial litigation.

Erika serves as a dedicated advocate for both national and international corporations operating across diverse industries. Her client portfolio includes manufacturers, distributors, suppliers, and premises owners of consumer goods and equipment in sectors like industrial, automotive, and construction. Companies turn to Erika for her exceptional ability to craft innovative and strategic defense tactics that not only address their legal challenges but also propel their long-term business objectives.

Erika's commitment to her cases is unwavering, and she plays a hands-on role throughout every stage of litigation, from comprehensive discovery and deposition practices to trial proceedings and post-trial endeavors. She assumes significant day-to-day management responsibilities for cases spanning New York and New Jersey, extending her influence across the United States, where she oversees litigation in states such as California, Florida, Illinois, and Minnesota.

Before joining London Fischer, Erika was a litigation partner at a national law firm where she chaired one of the firm’s practice groups. She also was an integral member of the firm’s mentorship program, working to support the professional development of attorneys in the early stages of their careers.

Among her recent accomplishments:

  • Erika was a member of the six trial teams operating from 2018 to 2022 in multiple jurisdictions (NY, CA, IN, KY) that successfully defended personal care product companies that manufactured cosmetic talcum products.
  • As part of the National Coordinating Counsel for a consumer products company sued by plaintiffs in multiple jurisdictions, Erika helped develop a comprehensive strategy that dramatically decreased litigation after a determination that there was a complete defense for the client under various asset purchase agreements.

As a 2012 law school graduate, Erika has been recognized by her peers as New York SuperLawyer “Rising Star” every year from 2019 to 2023. Before she entered legal practice, Erika served as a Judicial Extern for the Massachusetts Land Court and completed an internship with the Brooklyn District Attorney’s Office.

When Erika isn't zealously advocating for her clients, you'll find her spending quality time with her husband, two sons, and her trusty French Bulldog. During college football season, she can be spotted enthusiastically supporting her alma mater, the University of Michigan (Go Blue!).
