He has acted as counsel of record on several key California decisions, including Buss v. Superior Court (1997) 16 Cal.4th 35; PPG Industries, Inc. v. Transamerica (1999) 20 Cal.4th 310; and Global Financial Distributors v. Superior Court (2019) 35 Cal.App.5th 179 (2019). In addition, he served as co-class counsel for a federal securities class action involving a Ponzi scheme perpetrated in the U.S. and Japan, in which more than $30 million was recovered for the class. Prior to joining London Fischer LLP, Mr. Gibbons chaired the Insurance Coverage department at a national firm based in Los Angeles.
