Josie Marie Conelley is a highly skilled litigator whose practice is currently focused on construction litigation, labor law, personal injury, and premises liability.

Prior to joining London Fischer, Josie was Of Counsel with other reputable firms, where she provided a tenacious defense to some of the largest metropolitan-based hospitals, as well as medical facilities, physicians, and other healthcare professionals in catastrophic and high-exposure medical malpractice actions. Josie managed these cases from inception to trial and diligently guided her clients through the litigation process. Her practice also included significant deposition practice and dispositive motion practice.

Josie also has prior experience in commercial insurance, construction litigation, and general liability, providing a defense to insurance companies and property owners in catastrophic events, including personal injury and property damage cases. In a prior role, she authored a protocol and procedure guidance wherein insureds could appeal a carrier’s disclaimer of coverage, which was adopted and published in the carrier’s Commercial General Liability Policies.

Josie holds a J.D. from Touro College Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center and obtained her B.A. in American Studies from Fordham University. She also obtained a Certificate of Completion for the Engalitcheff Institute of Comparative Political and Economic Systems from Georgetown University and the Fund for American Studies during her undergraduate course of studies.

While at Touro Law Center, Josie placed as a semi-finalist in the 2009 ADR Regional Client-Counseling Competition and presented a CLE seminar among a panel of selected attorneys and Justices before the Theodore Roosevelt American Inn of Court titled: “Election Law: How to Vote Twice and Get Away with It.”

Josie interned for the Civil Division of the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Eastern District of New York, as well as the District Attorney’s Offices of both Nassau and Suffolk Counties. She also served as an intern for the Honorable Scott Fairgrieve, who presided over the Landlord-Tenant Part of Nassau County District Court, where she assisted him in drafting several judicial opinions that were selected for publication.

Apart from her legal career, Josie takes pleasure in spending quality time with her family and pursuing her passion for running.
