Prior to joining London Fischer, Mr. Geider was an Associate Attorney at another New York-based insurance defense firm. He also worked as a Judicial Law Clerk for the State of New Jersey and held an internship in the New Jersey Attorney General's Office. Before attending law school, Mr. Geider worked as a paralegal, and as a legislative intern.
Passionate about the arts and culture, Mr. Geider investigated emerging Child Labor Law issues stemming from the convergence of the Entertainment and Tech industries for an article on “How to (Not) Exploit Your Internet Child Star: Unregulated Child Labor on YouTube, Instagram and Social Media.” The article was published by Seton Hall University’s Student Works in 2021.
While in law school, Mr. Geider delved into the world of intellectual property law while interning at the Artworks Incubator and Legal Residency where he conducted research and assisted in legal work regarding copyrights, trademarks, and licensing issues.
Mr. Geider believes that client communication is key to successful resolutions of cases and he prides himself on always being available to his clients from the commencement of the case to conclusion.
When he is not practicing law, Mr. Geider balances his time between activity and leisure as a cycling enthusiast and a cinema connoisseur.
Notable Decisions/Results
Mr. Geider succeeded on a motion to dismiss a lawsuit filed in connection with a work-related accident by showing through affidavits and work records that the plaintiff was laid off several days before the claimed date of loss. The motion, was granted unopposed as plaintiff’s counsel withdrew upon learning that the accident was fabricated. Mr. Geider’s diligent investigation led to a great result for his client.
Mr. Geider has secured multiple favorable settlements in cases with significant exposure shortly before trial.
