With over three decades of legal experience, Mike Carro is a seasoned litigator who has honed his expertise in general liability defense.

Mike also has defended cases involving labor law, personal injury, construction accidents, premises liability, medical malpractice, and toxic torts. Mike is dedicated to guiding his clients through every facet of litigation from the outset of discovery to the culmination of trials and appeals.

Recognized as a standout professional in his field, Mike earned prestigious acknowledgments from “Strathmore’s Who’s Who” and “International Top 100 Magazine” in 2013-2014.

Prior to joining London Fischer in 1999, Mike practiced at Schwartz & Greenberg, another New York insurance defense firm that also handled Life, Health and Disability Insurance cases.

Mike's journey into the legal world began when he was admitted to the New York State Bar in 1988. He holds a JD from Pace University School of Law and is a graduate of Queens College of the City University of New York. A lifelong learner, Mike continues to be an active member of the Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity and is a former member of the New York County Lawyers Association.

But Mike's life extends beyond the courtroom. His heart lies with his family, and he relishes quality time spent with them. He coaches his granddaughter's soccer team and serves on the Board of the Plainedge Soccer Club. He also holds a Brown Belt in Shotokan, a martial art he's passionately practiced for over 30 years.

Representative Cases

  • In a 2023 personal injury lawsuit, Mike successfully defeated a motion seeking liability under New York's Scaffold Law by demonstrating that the plaintiff bore responsibility for his own injuries by choosing not to use safer methods for performing the work.
