Michael Kranzler and Francella Guido of the firm’s Florida office obtained a full dismissal on behalf of the firm’s client in a lawsuit pending in Florida state court, Palm Beach County, and pertaining to a fatal shooting of a minor at a gas station.
As a result of the shooting, the decedent’s estate made a claim against the gas station and the firm’s client, the real estate investment developer that owned the property.
Michael and Francella first established that the gas station owed the developer a defense and then they successfully demonstrated to the plaintiff that the developer was wholly without fault and should be dismissed. As a result of their proactive efforts, the plaintiff had no choice but to dismiss the developer from the lawsuit at a very early stage, thus extricating the firm’s client from expensive and contentious litigation.
