On October 1, 2026, Jonathan Kranz (FL, NY & NJ) presented at an international insurance seminar in London regarding Directors & Officers liability and exposures. The event was attended by over 50 claims handlers, underwriters and brokers from numerous companies. Mr. Kranz discussed the latest trends in the United States concerning artificial intelligence ("AI") and the duties of board members to proactively anticipate and mitigate claims regarding the use of AI. He also addressed recent trends in the United States regarding litigation funding and how various jurisdictions are enacting laws to prohibit or limit such funding. Finally, Mr. Kranz addressed the recently proposed law in Delaware which, if enacted, would allow creation of corporate entities controlled solely by AI and he discussed the potential need for a new insurance product to address such an emerging risk.
