London Fischer LLP congratulates Michael Kranzler of the firm’s Florida office on his victory in a professional liability case captioned Nancy Santos v. Victor Santos De Jesus, Erika Meyer, and Remax 5 Star Realty, Broward County Circuit Court, Florida, Case No. CACE-25-019252. Mr. Kranzler served as defense counsel for a real estate agency (the “Agency”) and obtained summary judgment, dismissing all claims against the Agency.
Plaintiff brought the action to prevent the sale of certain residential property located in Hollywood, Florida. Plaintiff sued the homeowners and the Agency and sought nullification of the contract for sale as well as injunctive relief to block the listing or sale of the property.
Mr. Kranzler successfully argued that the Plaintiff lacked standing because, under Florida law, Plaintiff had no ownership or other interest in the property necessary to assert the claims in the lawsuit. The trial judge agreed and entered final summary judgment in favor of the Agency.
