October 19, 2009

In an action brought in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York, London Fischer LLP recently won summary judgment in favor of their client CRC Insurance Services, Inc. ("CRC"), a wholesale surplus lines insurance broker. CRC brought the action against LaMere Associates Inc. to recover amounts due and owing in connection with several insurance placements. In finding no material issue of facts in dispute, the court awarded CRC judgment as a matter of law on its breach of contract and account stated claims in the total amount being sought, together with an award of prejudgment interest, costs and attorney's fees.

London Fischer LLP attorneys who worked on this matter include Spiro Bantis, Jim Walsh and Ben Schiffman.
