Wendy J. Keenan

Overview

Wendy Keenan specializes in the handling of complex professional liability coverage matters.  Her primary focus is the representation of insurers who provide all types of specialty lines products, on a primary or excess basis, including, but not limited to professional liability classes, directors and officers liability, employment practices liability, as well as general liability and fidelity products. 

Wendy assists with overseeing London Fischer’s Program Management team, a dedicated group of attorneys who offer claim management, insurance coverage and analysis, and risk management services to domestic, London, and Bermuda-based insurers.  In this capacity, Wendy manages complex claims involving a variety of insured professionals, including, but not limited to lawyers, accountants, architects and engineers, technical consultants, insurance agents, and all property-related classes.  On behalf of her clients, Wendy investigates claims, provides opinions on coverage, assesses liability and pursues early resolution strategies.  She handles all aspects of coverage disputes, including coverage litigation.  Wendy also directly represents insureds in employment practices and architect and engineer matters.  

Wendy has in-depth experience preparing and tailoring insurance policies and endorsements to meet her clients’ needs.  She also provides counsel to her clients regarding a variety of underwriting and coverage issues.  

Earlier in her carrier, Wendy was seconded to a Lloyd’s syndicate.  She is a frequent speaker and presenter at a variety of industry conferences and seminars.

Wendy handles all aspects of coverage disputes, including counsel-of-record services for her insurer-clients in connection with coverage litigation.  She supervises and handles complex claims and is instrumental in the management of various nationwide insurance programs, including, but not limited to lawyers professional liability, miscellaneous professional liability errors and omissions, directors and officers liability, employment practices liability, fidelity bond/first-party coverage, allied healthcare, and general liability.  Wendy has significant experience serving as coverage counsel for primary and excess Directors and Officers liability coverage, as well as large-firm excess lawyers professional liability insurance.  Additionally, Wendy directly defends insureds in employment practices and architects and engineers matters.
